Individual and group instruction is available in spring and summer on the Old Course. The Cascades offers a driving range and short-game practice facilities. All resort courses have a clubhouse.
The Homestead Golf Advantage School Package is offered on select dates through October. The two-day clinics at the resort's Teaching Center feature focused instruction in pitching, bunkers, chipping and putting along with swing analysis.

Brent is now in his tenth year at Troy Burne and has developed a large, successful following. When you spend time with Brent on the lesson tee you will be sure to have a good time, and will see immediate improvement. Brent is from the St. Croix area originally, but has taught all over the country and has been educated by some of the top instructors, as well as spending considerable time with tour players. Brent works mainly on impact, and finding the simplest solution for you to enjoy the game! Brent is not a technical teacher, his perspective is more about the action of the game. Video lessons, with an emailed copy are available upon request. Brent has an extensive playing background, and continues to play throughout the Minnesota PGA, as well as national events. He works with all ages and levels, and has built a very strong group of young talent that are working towards and currently play at the Division I, II, and III levels. From tour level to beginners, Brent will help you reach your highest potential! Brent Snyder Golf has grown and now includes another instructor, as well as staff member dedicated completely to the college advising business.
University Ridge offers a variety of different group instruction classes throughout the golfing season to meet the needs of all types of golfers. The group size in all classes never exceeds five students in order to give each student enough personal time with the instructor. All group lessons are conducted on our newly remodeled practice facility which has a separate tee for instruction, a chipping green, and practice bunkers. Many of the sessions also include on-course instruction. If the class times don't work out for your schedule you may set up a private class for the same price for three or more people.

Sharpen your game at our outstanding Learning Center and Driving Range. We feature bent grass tees and greens. You can even work on your sand and short game at our Chipping and Putting Green. We feel that the best public practice facility in Central Illinois is located here at WeaverRidge Golf Club.
An excellent putting green matches the speed and undulations of the greens on the course. Also, to the left side of the bent grass range area, we feature an oversized Practice Chipping Green with 2 well shaped and deep bunkers for practicing sand shots, pitch shots and recovery shots. To complete your short game practice, we have U.S. Open style rough around the green.
The extra-large, eighty-yard wide practice range has all bent grass tees and seven target greens from 80 yards to 250 yards from the tee.

The 10,000-square-foot clubhouse is believed to be the second largest golf academy in the U.S. It houses a gym featuring Cybex equipment, two classrooms, one meeting room, boys and girls locker rooms, three covered indoor/outdoor hitting bays, six offices, and a club repair and storage room.
The practice area includes a driving range that has a hitting area approximately 75 yards long and 25 yards deep, and 14 measured target greens. In conjunction with Pine Trace and Shepherd's Hollow Golf Clubs, Cherry Creek Golf Club has initiated a player development program with a mission to present the game of golf in a manner that will promote its positive attributes and increase participation.
